Happy Halloween!

DD ist at home for a few days :-)) and took care of the Halloween decoration.

Sehr lecker :-)
I've been taking care of the leavings and made roasted pumpkin seeds - yummy! :-)

Bloggers' Quilt Festival

It's time again for the Bloggers' Quilt Festival hosted by Amy of Amy's Creative Side. Here is one of my favorite quilts that I want to show you again on this occasion. I made it for my daughter Linda for her 18th birthday as a remembrance of all the trips we made during her childhood and adolescence, travelling through the Western States of the USA with an RV, visiting National Parks and Rodeos and Indian places and festivals.... So the Kokopelli fabric and those of the "Treasures of the Southwest" collection seemed very appropriate. I am happy to say that she loves the quilt and is using it frequently.

Be sure to check out all the other quilts shown at Amy's Quilt Festival!

Herbstdeko

Have a look at this wreath of Hydrangeas that a dear friend has made for me! Isn't it beautiful?

A while ago I subscribed to a challenge of the German Patchwork Guild called "Stash Quilts". You were supposed to send in 4-6 pieces of fabric and in exchange received several fabrics from an English quilter that have to be used for a quilt of 40x80 cm. Unfortunately I received Christmas fabrics, so that's a real challenge for me to make a quilt from those. I've been pondering quite a while what to do with them and now I am trying to make the best of it.

Welcome, Kelli, and have fun visiting my blog!

Simons Quilt

In Spain I have finally finished quilting the quilt for my son and have been sewing on the binding for about 8 hours on our drive home ;-)
