Flame Seeker

There are things I simply cannot resist. And when I saw Lillyella's template for this flame Seeker, I just had to sew it. The name "Flame Seeker" alone has something mystical for me ... And skulls are my thing anyway ...

The pattern can be found here and it really has very good, detailed and precise instructions so that stitching wasn’t a problem at all ... unlike the fabric selection. It took me quite some time to achieve the contrasts of the triangles and the color gradient. The fabrics for the moth are by Alison Glass and the background by Brigitte Heitland.

The death’s-head hawk moth (Acherontia atropos) has indeed a skull-like drawing. Nevertheless, there is an alternative pattern without it. But that wasn’t an option fo rme of course Winking smile

If you like, check out Steffi’s blog. She also sewed a great moth!
