Hasenbach Challenge

Ich nehme ja gerade an einem Workshop teil und habe daher eigentlich keine Zeit, um einen Post zu verfassen. Aber heute ist ja "Zeigetag" bei Katrins Hasenbach-Challenge (auf Papier genähte Blöcke nach den Anleitungen von Claudia Hasenbach) und ich mache da zum ersten Mal mit. Daher zeige ich euch dennoch kurz mein Blöckchen, das ich einerseits für die Challenge und andererseits für meinen Wintermagie-Mystery genäht habe.

As you may know I am currently away on a workshop and don't really have any time to write a post. But today is "Showing Day" of Katrin's Hasenbach Challenge (monthly paper pieced blocks after patterns of Claudia Hasenbach) and I am participating for the first time. That's why I am showing you my little block that I made for the challenge and for my Winter Magic Mystery Quilt at the same time after all.

Eine neue Woche

Diese Woche nehme ich mal wieder an einem Workshop auf Schloss Hersberg teil. Wir werden mit Margit Amann von Glembotzki einen "Doppelseitigen Log Cabin" nähen. Dafür habe ich letzte Woche Stoffe gefärbt.

This week I will once again be participating in a workshop at Schloss Hersberg. We will sew a "double-sided log cabin" with Margit Amann von Glembotzki. That's why I have been dying fabrics last week.

Party mit Streifen

Schon wieder haben wir ein Kapitel von Tula Pink's City Sampler Buch geschafft! Das Thema "Streifen" ist nun beendet und es findet bei Sandra, bzw. Eva wieder eine Linky-Party statt. 
Weiter geht es nächste Woche mit den "Rechtecken".

Again we are done with a section of Tula Pink's City Sampler book! The chapter "stripes" is now complete and Sandra and Eva are having a Linky Party again.

So sieht mein Wintermagie-Quilt bis jetzt aus. Es fehlen natürlich noch Kleinigkeiten wie Auge und Knöpfe beim Schneemann. Block #13 habe ich auch fertig, kann ihn aber erst Ende des Monats zeigen, weil ich ihn im Rahmen der Hasenbach-Challenge genäht habe.

This is how my winter magic quilt looks by now. Of course, there are still missing little things like eye and buttons on the snowman. Block # 13 I have also done, but cannot show it before the end of the month, because I also made it as part of the Hasenbach challenge. 

Tula, Tula, Tula

In der neuesten Ausgabe der "Patchwork Professional" gibt es ein Interview mit Sandra und Eva, bei dem sie über das German Tula Pink QAL berichten. Ich freue mich, dass auch einige meiner Blöckchen den Weg in das Magazin gefunden haben, z. B. der hier in der Mitte.

The latest issue of the German magazine "Patchwork Professional" features an interview with Sandra and Eva, where they talk about the German Tula Pink QAL. I am glad that some of my blocks have found their way into the magazine, e.g. the one in the middle of the pic on the left.








 


Hier meine Wochenblöcke. Wir sind bei Nummer 66 und 67. Den unteren musste ich drehen, damit das Motiv draufpasst.

Ich komme nur langsam voran mit meinem Wintermagie-Quilt. Den Block mit den drei Pinguinen habe ich verändert. Die Originalvorlage hat mir so gar nicht gefallen. Da ich ja Block 10 schon genäht hatte, als Roswitha verkündet hat, dass an diese Stelle ein ganz andere Block gehört, habe ich ihn neben die Piguine gesetzt.

I am only making slow progress with my winter magic quilt. I have changed the block with the three penguins because I didn't like the original pattern. Since I had already sewn block 10, when Roswitha announced that a completely different block has to be placed at this position, I put it next to the penguins.

Für die Verlosung bei Sandra habe ich diesen Block genäht. Dafür habe ich mein Eulen-Schätzchen zerschnitten, aber ich finde für diesen Block passt die Eule wunderbar.
For Sandra's raffle I made this block. I had to cut into my owl-fabric baby, but I think the owl is a great choice for this block.
