Secret Santa Christmas Swap 2015

Now, after Christmas, I can show you the little quilt that I have sewn for my SSCS partner Anthea from Australia. I hope she was happy about it.

Nochmals herzlichen Dank an Suze!

And from Suze, also from Australia, I got this beautiful table runner. Again many thanks, Suze!

As always my special thanks go to Chookyblue who has organized this wonderful swap again this year, although she has quite a lot on her plate right now!

Merry Christmas

Wishing you a wonderful, happy and cozy Christmas with your loved ones!

SSCS package arrived!

My Secret Santa Parcel from Chookyblue's swap arrived after a long journey all the way from Australia!

You are supposed to open the package with the ornament right away. This is the lovely moose ornament that Suze made for me! Thank you so much! Thanks also for the little moose in a bag and the reindeer chocolate!

In my last post I had forgotten to show the ornament that I have sent to Anthea in Australia. Of course I will not show the main gifts before Christmas.

Euch einen schönen 4. Advent!

Have a wonderful fourth advent sunday!

Lebenszeichen

It's that time of year where I cannot find much time for sewing, but am busy with other things. Therefore during the festive season it is always very quiet on my blog.
Good news: My Secret Santa package that I sent to Australia, has arrived. There is always a little uneasiness until the package arrives, because, of course, you don't want the gift that you have sewn with lots of love and effort, to be lost. Unfortunately my packege still hasn't arrived. But there are still a few days ...

Again I illuminated our house and garden (unfortunately I never manage to make an adequate picture of it)...

Had a lot of fun while baking with my daughter ..

Enjoyed Caribbean Steelband music at the Christmas market and was reminded of the wonderful holiday ...

Weihnachtskarten genäht und verschickt...
Have sewn and sent Christmas cards...

 Geschenke besorgt, eingepackt und verschickt...
Made or bought gifts, wrapped and sent them...

... and in between tried to quilt the winter quilt that I had sewn last year ...

Ich wünsche euch ein schönes 4. Adventswochenende!

Have a great 4th Advent weekend!

Hasenbach November-Block

Meanwhile, back home, the first thing I have sewn was the November block for the Hasenbach Challenge. This time I opted for an emerald lizard.

Bin schon sehr gespannt, was in den Päckchen steckt.

I have to show you the advent calender my dear daughter has made for me because I am very excited about it. Can't wait to lern what's inside the packages.

Moreover dear Martina has been thinking of me even on the Way of St. James and brought me wonderful thimbles and even an Elongated Coin. You made my day, Martina! :)

Fliegende Fische

Greetings from the Caribbean! Since I am in Barbados right now, I have chosen a suitable topic for the Hasenbach-Challenge: a "Flying Fish"! Flying fish are common here and the national dish, which you get everywhere, and one is even depicted on the one dollar coin.

Barbados

Barbados has a rough, rocky Atlantic coast and beautiful white beaches on the Caribbean side. The nicest thing about Barbados is,though, that we have met our son again, who lives here for a year to study at the University of the west Indies.
